March Newsletter
Dear Parents,
Whales are my favorite animal to teach when we learn about the sea. It has been fun watching the students learn about all the creatures that fill up the ocean. The octopus seems to be a class favorite especially if we get to play the octopus hide and seek game.
Bible – We are continuing to learn about the life of Christ and the miracles he performed. Our verses to accompany these stories are: 1 Timothy 1:15 “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, “I am the way the truth and the life no man cometh unto the Father but by Me.” And Proverbs 20:11 “Even a child is known by his doings.”
Phonics – We are hard at work on blends and words. Reading groups continue to challenge the students in their reading skills as well as broaden their vocabulary.
Handwriting – As we continue to practice in writing our name capital letters becomes our new challenge.
Numbers – Counting 1-70, new numbers 18 and 19, and larger and smaller numbers are the new goal for this month.
