David Callahan

Hello! I am excited to be the new Administrator of Payson Christian School! I am a native of Phoenix and have been a part of Christian Education all my life. I attended Christian schools in the valley from K-12th grade. I am a graduate of Phoenix Christian High School and received my BA in History from Geneva College in Pennsylvania. As a college athlete, I was the captain of the men’s soccer team at Geneva and served as President of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.  After graduating from Geneva in 2010, I began teaching and began my Masters of Education degree from Arizona State University. I have spent my last 3 years of teaching at Phoenix Christian Preparatory School as the AP History and Government teacher, the head varsity soccer coach, and administrative intern. I am currently completing my second Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University.

I have been married to my wife Julia for four years we have a beautiful baby girl, Ailee. As a Deacon of College Ministries at Trinity Bible Church, I have discipled young followers of Christ in the valley on a weekly basis. I am very humbled, excited, and honored to lead Payson Christian School. I cannot wait to serve alongside fellow saints in God’s Kingdom and work here in Payson. I am eager to continue to build this school on the Rock and be a beacon of light to the community of Payson.

You will see me around campus being involved in fundraising, marketing, community relations, coordinating events, and coaching cross country! I am also happily married to David Callahan and we have a beautiful daughter, Ailee. We love Payson and are so thankful that God called us here!!

Susan Cordaro

I have been at Payson Christian School since Fall of 2012. I had no experience working in the education system when I came to the school, I was just following the Lord’s leading. And what a blessing it has been! I love being at the school and am so grateful to be able to serve the students, staff and faculty. A solid Biblical foundation is critical for kids and I am very humbled to be given a part in establishing that foundation.

Sarah Conti

I am a wife and mother of three wonderful children.   I have been blessed to be working with Payson Christian School since December of 2010.  As the bookkeeper I take care of the invoicing, bills, payroll and payments.  But, the best part of my job is getting to see all the students and knowing that this is where God wants me to be.

I have been here at Payson Community Christian school since 2001 with a break from 2005 to 2011. For the years of 2001 to 2005 I taught first and second grade combo.  Since I have returned I taught a third and fourth grade combo class for four years and now I am teaching second grade.  I am hoping to be able to put my reading endorsement and my Spalding training to good use this year.  I am happy to be working alongside Mrs. Lopez and Mrs. Nord to give Kinders through second grade a solid phonics foundation.  I have also been privileged to take classes through Intel including technology, math and now science. I am certified through the state of Arizona and through ACSI.  I feel it is important to be a life-time learner!  I find it a blessing to be able to work in Payson at the Christian school teaching children about Jesus and how to be valuable citizens of the future!

Hunter Horsley

Hello.  I am so very excited to be teaching at Payson Christian School!  It is my honor and privilege to be teaching third grade this year.  I grew up in Payson and I love it here.  I have five years of teaching experience.  This will be my first year teaching at PCS and I am looking forward to what God has in store for all of us.

Robert Caraveo

I am a native of California and recently discovered that I would have enjoyed being reared in Payson. This is my first year at Payson Christian School, on the team as one of the Junior High and High School  teachers. I like to think I am a well-balanced person with an amazing wife and three amazing children who are all attending Payson Christian School. My mother was a lobbyists and Christian school administrator for over 38 years. I began my early years to follow in my family's footsteps, however God took me in another direction. After finding much success in life, and by much prayer, I decided  to return to my roots as a teacher I am ecstatic to be here serving Payson Christian School and hope to instill these four attributes to my students; discipline, endurance, patience, and wisdom.

Gary Hampsch

This is my fifth school year to be blessed to serve Payson Community Christian School.  I am teaching high school algebra I and geometry.  Since arriving in Payson, I taught three years at the Payson Education Center alternative high school.  I also served as administrator/principal/teacher at New Visions charter school Star Valley.

Previous teaching experience includes Adjunct Professor, Maricopa Community Colleges and electronics/computer instructor, High Tech Institute, Phoenix. I have been a guest teacher at Arizona State University west campus and Thunderbird School of International Business.  I hope to be a blessing to others.

Margot Tan

My Name is Margot Tan and this will be my fourth year teaching at Payson Christian School. I have one wonderful son who is in now in the fifth grade here at PCS. I moved to Payson in 2005 just before the birth of my son and instantly fell in love with the beauty of Northern Arizona. Prior to teaching at PCS, I worked as a radiologic technologist and also a certified dental assistant, which contributes to my love of the sciences and interest in integrating multiple fields of study into my approach to art. The hand of God is abundantly evident when we examine the beauty and order of our universe. As an artist, I feel blessed to be able to help foster each student's unique talents.  As our creator, God gives us each a unique ability to be creative and it is a joy to see students find their own style and grow in confidence!

Michelle Fialkosky

Hello!  My name is Michelle Fialkosky and our family moved to Payson over 4 years ago where we have the privilege of having our three children attend Payson Christian School.  I received my teaching degree from ASU and  I have been educating children for over 20 years both in the public and private school setting.  I will be graduating with a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction/Technology from Grand Canyon University in January 2017.  This is my fourth year teaching at our amazing Payson Christian School where I am currently teaching Physical Education/Computers and Kindergarten part time.  It is truly a joy to educate children in such a positive, loving Christian setting.  I come to school each day with excitement and thankfulness for such an amazing job that I get to accomplish!

James Ferris

I grew up in a little farming community in Northwest IL.; Chadwick, population 600.  So when I moved out of Phoenix and came to Payson at the end of January of this year, I was very happy to leave the big city behind.  I really love Payson and the Rim country.

When I moved to Payson I expected to be at least semi-retired.  But God had other plans for me and lead me to the Payson Christian School.  I am teaching fifth grade and love it.  I have been a substitute teacher in the Valley and just before moving to Payson I was a Site Coordinator for The First Tee of Phoenix for nine years.  I really miss the kids and parents that were a part of the program.

Before moving to Arizona in January of 2005, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University.  My desire was to teach and serve the Lord; so what more could I wish for than to be here at Payson Christian School.
